The Rajasthan Women Entrepreneurship Program 2020 is a bootcamp to support existing ambitious and innovative women entrepreneurs hailing from Rajasthan by enabling them to transform their business venture into a sustainable enterprise.

 

The Program is designed to enhance the entrepreneurial and managerial skills of women leading early stage ventures. The North India Office of the U.S. Embassy,  New Delhi (through funding by Mission India) is conducting this program for women entrepreneurs in Rajasthan in coordination with Nexus and with ACIR#USinNorthIndia

The Program provides business knowledge for entrepreneurs to build sustainable  businesses through a one-day virtual workshop. 25 entrepreneurs will be selected from each one of the 4 cities - Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Kota.

Selected entrepreneurs will be invited to an advanced two-day virtual workshop where they  will undergo more in-depth, advanced business training.

Three women entrepreneurs will be be selected to be a part of the 9-week intensive Nexus Incubation Program in New Delhi where they will focus on developing and scaling up their businesses alongside the top startups in India. A travel subsidy will be provided to the selected candidates in case of a physical program.

About Nexus  

Nexus is fully sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and is considered one of the premier incubation programs in the country. Since its inception in 2017, Nexus has supported 113 startups who have gone on to raise over $8.2 million in grant and equity funding.

  • Participants must have a working knowledge of English as all classes will be in English.  For finalists who are selected to go to Nexus, the U.S. Embassy may provide opportunities to improve their English skills.

About NIO

The Alliance for Commercialization and Innovation Research (ACIR) is an American non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization providing consulting, training and program management services in the fields of innovation, incubation and entrepreneurship.

 

ACIR has successfully run entrepreneurship programs around world including South Korea, Kazakhstan, Russia, Georgia and the United States, with the most recent being the Nexus Incubator and Startup Hub in New Delhi, India  (www.startupnexus.in).

The North India Office (NIO) of the U.S. Embassy was created in 2015 to engage with approximately 400 million people in eight north Indian states and territories: the states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand; and the Union Territory of Chandigarh and the National Capital Territory of Delhi.  

 

The objective of NIO is to expand links between the United States in this dynamic region by promoting people-to-people ties.
